Hurco flexes its muscles with new technology center in India

Hurco India Pvt Ltd, the Indian subsidiary of the leading USA-based Hurco Inc inaugurated a new technical center in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu in India on April 16. The inauguration ceremony was held at RV Machine Tools, Jaganathan Industrial Estate, Coimbatore in the presence of dignitaries from the various industries.

The lighting of lamp and the formal inauguration was done by John Donlon, Executive Vice President – International Sales & Service, Hurco Inc. The opening ceremony was followed by an Open House showcasing of products in application area of die/mould, aerospace and medical Implants.

“We have a large number of machines running in Coimbatore, which is why we wanted to start this technology center for demonstration and training purpose. We wanted spread awareness about advance technology and demonstrate how we can help our customers,” says John.

Kaushik Bhattacharjee, MD, Hurco India Pvt Ltd said, “With this new technology center we will be able to serve our customers even better. Customers can come and try our machines and see how we can help them in getting desired shape and finish for their component.”

The technology center features Hurco’s some of the revolutionary technologies such as 5 axis machining center model VMX42SRTi, 5 axis machining center model VMX30Ui & 3 axis high speed machining center model VMX24HSi that are ideal for the die/mould, aerospace and medical industry.

“Our machine design & features are most suitable to cater to the various application from the die/mould, medical and aerospace industry segments… . The other factor is that we see the above mentioned segments are growing in India and holds a good future. Since our focus is to take the latest of the machining technology/process engineering to the doorstep of our customers, we believe, we should be the first to do so…. In the coming months, we will focus on how we can try to improve the machining processes of some of the parts presently machined & will take it to our customers to evaluate,” said Bhattacharjee.

Talking about the future of Hurco India, John added, “India is a very important market for us and we continue to expand our offerings in the country. After this technology center we are looking at starting similar centers in other parts of the country.”

The new technology center will be used for demonstration and training purpose. It will help Hurco India enhance their service in the South Indian market even further.
