Plus 30% subscriptions to 30.BI-MU

Plus 30% subscriptions to 30.BI-MU, the Italian machine tool biennial exhibition scheduled at fieramilano Rho from Tuesday 4th through to Saturday 8th October 2016, as against those registered in the same period at the last edition.

A decidedly substantial increase in step with the favourable trend in Italian machine tool consumption, standing at 3,595 million Euro (plus 31.3% as against the previous year). The revival in demand for production systems has rewarded both the deliveries by domestic manufacturers with 1,920 million Euro, as much as +21% against the previous year, as well as imports, with a +45.5% for a value worth 1,675 million.

Promoted by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the Italian machine tool, robot and automation manufacturers’ association, and organized by EFIM-ENTE FIERE ITALIANE MACCHINE, 30.BI-MU is ready to grasp the results of a recovery in the market, resuming investments in production systems both in Italy and abroad, as demonstrated by the data drawn up by Centro Studi UCIMU.

In the wake of the excellent performance at EMO MILANO, the Italian edition of the worldwide machine tool trade fair, an event marking up record figures under all aspects in 2015, Italy takes to the centre of the sector stage again with 30.BI-MU, not only advantaged by a recovery in the domestic and international market, but which will also benefit by the important industrial policy measures implemented by the country.

In fact, after the New Sabatini Law which has done well and will do much towards Italy’s main manufacturing sectors’ consumption, the recently adopted 2016 Stability Law has introduced an extremely important tax benefit for companies, consisting in a maximum of 140% amortization on the cost of purchased capital goods.

Basically, this “Super-amortization” rules that companies may rely on a 140% depreciation of the value of capital goods purchased from 15 October to 31 December 2016.

Such measures will give some breathing space to demands put forward by Italian machine tool users to whom BI-MU will be presenting numerous novelties: from the special FLUID POWER area, promoted by ASSOFLUID, presenting the best of this compartment which is, by its very nature, closely connected with machine tools; up to the SFORTEC INDUSTRY parallel event, the new interpretation of SFORTEC, freeing its exclusive ties with the machine tool sector and extending its technological repertoire to the entire industry.

The intention of the machine tool biennial organizers in holding 30.BI-MU and SFORTEC INDUSTRY events (this last event concentrated into 3 days, from Thursday 6th to Saturday 8th October) contemporarily  is to propose the widest range of offers possible to the public visiting the exhibition, which will have the faculty to choose between two parallel itineraries: the Make of BI-MU for those who design and build and the Buy of SFORTEC INDUSTRY for those who purchase technical sub-supplies and services for industry, outsourcing a part of their business.

Following tradition, alongside the wide range of technologies on display, BI-MU will also be holding a series of side events with the idea of exploiting the presence of operators at the exhibition to the best: from inviting foreign user delegations coming from roughly fifteen countries, typically with the highest growth and development rates, to Quality Bridge, the well-known conference review, to theme areas such as IL MONDO DELLA FINITURA DELLE SUPERFICI (World of Surface Finishing) and the Additive Technologies Club, a space for developers, producers and customers in this emergent compartment to meet and compare notes (organized together with the AITA-ITALIAN ADDITIVE TECHNOLOGIES ASSOCIATION), up to PIANETA GIOVANI (THE PLANET OF THE YOUNG), an important venue between school and working world, with guided visits for the students to the exhibition to those exhibitor companies participant to the project.
