New economical solution for high efficiency milling from ISCAR

ISCAR is introducing a new step in development of the high-efficiency milling line: H690-07, new milling cutters with 90° cutting edge angle, carrying trigonal double-sided inserts.

Highlights:

  • 90° milling cutters carrying trigon-shaped inserts
  • Double-sided insert with 6 cutting edges
  • Positive radial and axial rake angles
  • Accurate 90° profile of machined square shoulder, with ramping down ability
  • Highly-economical solution for various milling applications

The new HELIDO Trigon Line H690-07 family was designed for productive rough to semi-finish milling, primarily on cast iron and steel components.

The H690 WNMU 0705, inserts features 6 positive cutting edges, which can be used for up to 7 mm depth of cut.
The H690 EWN, endmills are available in 32 and 40 mm diameters.
The H690 FWN, face mills are available in a diameter range of 50 to 125 mm in coarse and fine pitch configurations.

Each cutter body has coolant holes directed to the inserts’ cutting edges, for the most efficient cooling action.

The H690 WNMU 0705… inserts feature an advanced cutting geometry. When they are mounted in a cutter body, the geometry generates positive radial and axial rake angles, that ensure smooth milling with soft entry to and exit from material.

The new inserts are produced from ISCAR’s latest SUMO TEC carbide grades, which significantly increase productivity.

The winning combination of effective geometry, innovative carbide grades and 6 cutting edges, enhances productivity and reduces operational machining costs.

The new HELIDO Trigon Line tools provide the customer a very attractive solution for milling applications regarding price per cutting edge.

The new tools are an excellent choice for general milling applications. They can machine 90° shoulders up to a 7 mm depth, and in addition perform slotting, ramping down (also helical interpolation) and facing operations.
