ISCAR launches wedge clamped
tools for productive heavy-duty face milling

ISCAR is expanding the HELIDO 800 LINE by introducing the SOF45W-R26 new wedge clamped 45 degree cutting edge angle face mills.

The inserts on the new face mills are clamped by a wedge system, featuring high clamping security and edge location repeatability (both radial and axial).
The wedge clamping system enables quick and easy mounting and indexing of the inserts.

The new mills are intended for heavy duty machining which enables high metal removal rates (MRR), mainly for components made from steel and cast iron.

These economical, cost-effective milling tools can machine at high cutting parameters, dramatically increasing productivity.

The mills are available in a 100 -315 mm diameter range, with coarse and fine pitch configurations.

All the mills have seats to avoid deformation of the pocket and to ensure body protection.

The new versatile face mills can carry in their pockets either the S845 SNMU 26… square, double-sided insert with 8 cutting edges or the ONMU 10… octagonal, double-sided insert with 16 cutting edges.

Features

  • Face milling tools for heavy duty applications with 8 cutting edges up to 11 mm D.O.C. and 16 cutting edges for 7 mm D.O.C.
  • Wedge clamping for quick and rigid insert holding
  • Most economical regarding price per edge
  • Designed for milling large parts on powerful machines in various industries
  • Suitable for roughing application and interrupted cut
