IMTMA launches Technology Centre in Pune

Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) has launched a State-of-Art Technology Centre in Pune which will upgrade knowledge and skills of engineers from manufacturing industry across the country.

The Technology Centre enables class room and practical hands-on training to machine tool users. It organises several training programmes focusing on Design, Productivity, Quality, Maintenance, Automation and so on. The ‘Finishing school in Production Engineering’ makes fresh engineers ‘Industry ready’.

IMTMA established a Technology Centre in Bangalore in 2009 to focus on metal cutting machine tools, which clocked over 15000 man days of technical training in last two years.

The Pune Technology Centre is fully equipped with latest CNC Machines and allied equipment to impart training in all aspects of production technology. The facility includes CNC Turning & Machining centre, Hydraulic and Mechanical press, with all supporting equipment and accessories. The Technology Centre is set up with the active support of IMTMA members which includes Batliboi, Lokesh Machines, ISGEC Heavy Engg, Hind Hydraulics, Fanuc India, Siemens, Miven Mayfran, Sandvik, Seco Tools, Renishaw, Yuken, Master Chemicals and other companies Festo, Blum Novotest, Hiwin Tech. Corp, DP Technology. Many more companies will join this initiative. The faculty consists of a pool of industry experts with vast experience in their field.

IMTMA’s Technology Centre in Pune will cater to the training needs of various industry segments Viz; Automotive & Auto Components, Die & Mould, Consumer durables, Defence and Railway Units, Aerospace, General Engg. and so on.

IMTMA Technology Centre also organizes customized training programs based on industry needs.
