Huge Response to ITC’s 2nd Annual Seminar

Italian Technology Centre (ITC India), as an Important Point of Reference in India for 12 Italian companies recently organised a B2B seminar on April 9 at Hotel Novotel, Pune. The event received tremendous response from the industry. More than 100 companies made their presence felt and witnessed the latest technologies developed by the Italian companies.

ITC is an innovative project promoted by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE (The Italian Machine Tools, Robots and Automation Manufacturers’ Association) and ASSOCOMAPLAST (The Italian Plastics and Rubber Processing Machinery and Moulds Manufacturers’ Association), both belonging to FEDERMACCHINE (The National Federation of the Associations of Manufacturers of capital goods and related accessories for industrial and crafts manufacturing processes). It is supported by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.

Talking about the occasion, Giancarlo Losma, President ITC & Losma Spa said, “The event was organised with an aim to get the 12 Italian companies (who are part of ITC) and buyers under one roof to showcase the capabilities  of the Italian companies’ and also understand the end-user requirements. We organised it in such a way, that all the Italian companies could give their presentation and subsequently during the B2B meeting they could interact with Indian delegates. After the seminar on 8th April our member companies are also visiting some factories/plants in the vicinity of Pune.”

“We intend to organize this is sort of an annual event every year as a part of our promotional  initiative. This year the event was a great success and response was much better than expected. We had more than 130 delegates registered for
this event,” said Sandeep Chadha, Consultant, ITC and Director – Rare Tech Projects Pvt. Ltd.

IMG_1146Chadha added, “When ITC started it was decided that it will be operational only for two years, however I am delighted to inform you that after having received positive feedback from Italian & Industry, it is expected that the initiative ITC will be further extended for 1-2 years”

The Italian manufacturers of metalworking MACHINE TOOLS, ACCESSORIES AND TOOLS and of PLASTIC AND RUBBER PROCESSING MACHINERY along with the representatives of the Italian Associations presented their technological solutions and discussed with the delegates from various companies to explore business possibilities.

“Italian Companies have got concrete orders and 2 ITC member companies are looking for JVs or technical know-how partnership. At present these companies are in the initial stage of partner search and we hope that in the next quarter of 2014 they will take concrete steps in this direction. I feel there is good demand for these technologies as India is fast becoming quality conscious and only advanced technologies can help in achieving quality products at competitive prices. We expect the coming year to be better,” concluded Chadha.

It was also informed to us that ITC will be again present with an Information Booth at forthcoming AUTOMOTIVE  ENGINEERING SHOW (29-31 May’2014, Chinchwad, Pune).

ITC proved to be a good platform for the Indian companies who had been looking to buy such technologies and building relationships with Italian companies.
