Haimer launches balancing arbours for tools with cylindrical boreholes

Haimer GmbH, Germany has now developed a special balancing arbours for tools with cylindrical boreholes. With this, users can also balance their grinding wheels, cutter heads, planing heads and other tools unbalance on Tool Dynamic balancing machine.

Up to now, one could balance primarily various tool holders (HSK or taper cone), as well as the tools with cylindrical shafts clamped into them, in the Tool Dynamic by HAIMER. However, even grinding wheels and large cutting heads are sometimes run at high speeds, and cannot do without balancing beforehand. This is why Haimer now offers balancing Arbours in a variety of clamping sizes.

Particularly in Finish Grinding process, Wheels run at speeds of up to 30,000 rpm and thus needs to be balanced in order to prevent damage to the spindle. In comparison to conventional balancing scales, whose results depended largely on the skill of the user, balancing on the Tool Dynamic machine provides considerably better and – most importantly – consistently good results.
