Tungaloy expands left-hand cutters on DoPent for face milling
Iwaki / Japan, 26. March 2015, Tungaloy Corporation is pleased to announce the expansion of left-hand cutters on DoPent, the series for face milling operations. DoPent has been receiving favorable reputation since its release due to the economical pentagonal inserts with 10 cutting edges.
The new left-hand cutters are capable for the operations with the spindle of the left-hand rotation. Combined with right-hand cutters that are already in the market, DoPent is now applicable for face milling on duplex milling machines.
Inserts are available with MJ and ML chipbreakers in neutral geometry. The MJ type is a versatile chipbreaker with a good balance between cutting-edge sharpness and toughness, while the ML type features the unique cutting-edge geometry that generates low cutting force and provides excellent machining of mild steel and stainless steel. The standard grade for both chipbreakers is AH3135 that provides stable tool life.
This addition of left-hand cutters further enhances the rich line-up of the DoPent series, which widens the range of applications and meets customer needs in various machining.
