Sandvik Coromant Demonstrates Support to the Oil and Gas Industry
Focus on Oil and Gas manufacture includes launch of dedicated online chat service for customers in the Middle East
Sandvik Coromant, a global leading supplier of cutting tools, tooling solutions and know-how to the metalworking industry, is underlining its commitment to the Middle East’s oil and gas sector at ADIPEC 2014. Building on successful participation at last year’s show, the company will demonstrate solutions and support services that help manufacturers in the Middle East meet the machining challenges of modern oil and gas exploration and production technologies.
At its ‘Smart Hub’ (Hall 14 Stand 1460) Sandvik Coromant will demonstrate how its combination of solutions and product and application knowledge can meet evolving customer demands. The company will present new component solutions covering mandrel, collar and bottle boring as well as the new GC4315 and GC4325 grade inserts, which help customers to improve process security and productivity.
To securely machine deep grooves on oil and gas components, the CoroCut QD system will be enhanced with the launch of CoroTurn SL blades. Large diameter drilling with CoroDrill 880L – a system using a flexible cartridge solution with a hole diameter range of 65.00 – 84.00 mm (2.559-3.307 inch) – will also be launched as the latest addition to a range of drilling solutions suited to oil and gas component manufacture. Finally, visitors will also see the latest Sandvik Coromant Apps, which provide valuable information ranging from calculations and product recommendations to technical catalogue information.

ADIPEC 2014 will also see Sandvik Coromant launch an exciting new digital service for customers in the Middle East. Visitors to the company’s website will be able to communicate directly with technical experts via a live online chat service. Valerio R. We’re pleased to be the first tooling supplier to offer such a service and look forward to extending a new channel of communication to market contacts.”
