OPEN MIND Technologies AG, one of the leading CAD/CAM software developers, will appear at the tenth Die & Mould India International Exhibition in Bangalore to present the newest expansions of the hyperMILL® CAM suite. The CAM experts will demonstrate how to fully take advantage of NC machines at Booth C19 in Hall 2 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre from 6–9 April 2016.
The latest version of the hyperMILL® CAM solution once again offers a wide range of improvements and expansions. All innovations will lead to shorter programming times and minimise machining times considerably. The highlight is a 5axis strategy that speeds up the process of finishing steep and flat surfaces so much that it reduces the time required by up to 90 per cent. The hyperCAD®-S CAD system also includes new features tailored to the particular requirements of CAM programmers.
The hyperMILL® MAXX Machining performance package includes the 5axis tangent plane machining function, which offers high-performance strategies for roughing, finishing and drilling. The roughing module is the solution for high-performance cutting (HPC) with spiral and trochoidal tool movements, and the finishing module offers innovative strategies for machining with barrel cutters. What’s more, the 5axis helical drilling strategy allows you to drill holes quickly and easily.
3D-optimised rest material roughing is also among the new features. Defining and managing mill-turning cutting tool reference using the tool database is more convenient.
Four new functions have been added for preparing meshes in hyperCAD®-S, OPEN MIND’S CAD-for-CAM system: separating joined meshes, smoothing mesh surfaces, reducing mesh density and closing holes in meshes.
There will also be a first glance at the hyperMILL® 2016.2 release, which primarily focuses on improving performance and simplifying work for programmers. .
