Following market demand, ISCAR is introducing an adjustable torque handle with interchangeable wrenches and Torx bits, designed for secure and accurate tightening of MULTI-MASTER milling heads.
Uncontrolled clamping torque can sometimes cause performance problems on MULTI-MASTER (MM) milling heads. Over-tightening can cause MM thread breakage while insufficient clamping torque can cause vibrations, thus, drastically reducing tool life and part accuracy. Recommended clamping torque values are published in the MM catalog.
ISCAR now offers the means to actually control the recommended clamping torque setting. The required clamping torque can easily be set on a handle with a scale window that displays the set torque value. A highly reliable mechanism enables precise torque setting values within ±6% accuracy.
Each adjustable torque handle contains a user guide (11 languages).
At this stage, the wrenches and Torx bits are available for the T04 MM thread size and for the T05-T15 MM thread connection sizes – except for MM GRIT 16-22 groove milling heads that use MM EGR clamping keys. A solution for these will be available in the next stage.
Handle Features
- Ergonomic design for a convenient and strong grip
- A single handle with an adjustable torque range for the T05-T15 MM connection threads
- Acoustic indication (a “click” sound) when reaching the set torque to avoid overtightening.
