IMT Displayed Best-in-class Technologies at BI-MU 2014
IMT Grinding Group, the leading industrial company in Italy for design, production and sales for grinding machines and multitasking finishing machines showcased some of its latest grinding solutions at the recently concluded BI-MU 2014. IMT Grinding Group that consist some of the well known brand such as MORARA-DECIMA, TACCHELLA, FAVRETTO and MECCANODORA were demonstrating MORARA MT-ID, multi spindle with horizontal axis, for internal diameters and profiles; Modulo series M of IMT Favretto, new generation of surface grinding machine and the universal grinder IMT Tacchella Elektra. The company received huge response from the industry during the show that conducted between 29th Oct to 4th Sept, 2014.

TACCHELLA ELEKTRA: The new universal grinder IMT Tacchella Elektra is optimal solution for all grinding machines whose strong point is manufacturing versatility. Elektra is the configurable tool for the most varied of grinding requirements on shafts, tool holders, general mechanics, punches, gear pumps, etc. be it single workpieces, small or large batches, including multi-diameter processing or interpolations. There are no less than 27 models available combining sizes, versions and height points, all further customized.
MODULO SERIES M OF IMT FAVRETTO: The Modulo series M of IMT Favretto enter in a new generation of surface grinding
machine. The Modulo M, equipped with reciprocating table movement and a horizontal head on a single column, is the optimal solution for all grinders who intend to maximize flexibility, friendly use, high execution speed and optimal finishing. Thanks to the numerous versions and sizes, the new surface grinding machine Modulo M reply with the maximum efficiency at the production needs of the global market, grinds plane and profiles of medium and large pieces, also particularly complex. The Modulo series M includes three basic models with different working widths: 600, 850, 1000 mm, which can be associate to various lengths – from 950 to 4200 mm -, heights – from 550 to 1000 mm – and weights – from 680 to 6000 kg -, that generated a wide range of sizes and ensure countless working capacity.
MULTI SPINDLE GRINDING CENTER MT-ID: The new MT-ID, multi spindle with horizontal axis, for internal diameters and profiles, is the ideal solution for bore and surface grinding. MT-ID series is available in 3 sizes: 900, 500, 250. MORARA cylindrical grinder MT500ID, multi spindle with horizontal axis, for internal diameters and profiles, is the perfect solution for bore and surface grinding in a single clamping. Work head unit is fixed (can rotate -10° / + 20° manually or with B1 AXIS – optional), the maximum overhanging load is 500 kg. Universal turret with integrated torque motor (B axis) can held up to 4 high frequency spindles. The Wheel carriage is situated on a front cross-shaped carriage. The B axis (wheels) allows continuous positioning from 0° to 270° with an absolute repositioning precision. The automatic brake makes the wheel carriage integral with the cross-shaped carriage X-Z.
