FEMCO’s Pune Tech Centre Features CNC Lathe and CNC Turn Mill Centre

Far East Machinery Company (FEMCO), one of the leading Taiwanese CNC manufacturer started its tech centre in Pune a year ago. Today it houses two high end CNC technologies — CNC Lathe Model HL-25N and a CNC Turn mill Centre with Sub Spindle and Y Axis Model HL-35 DMSY. The machines are mainly used for demonstration and training purpose.

In January 2011 Fatty Tuna Inc. incorporated M/s Fatty Tuna India Pvt.Ltd. to sell and distribute full range of CNC Machine Tools including CNC Horizontal Lathes, CNC Vertical Turning Lathes, CNC Horizontal Bore Mills, CNC Vertical Machining Centres and CNC Wheel Turing Lathe Machines. Fatty Tuna India also provides comprehensive Sales, after sales service and Application support in India.

We started our tech centre in Pune, one of the biggest and fast growing manufacturing hub of India. The two machines that company has brought in its tech centre are HL-25N and a CNC Turn mill Centre with Sub Spindle and Y Axis Model HL-35 DMSY.

HL-25N
FEMCO’s HL-25 N CNC lathe is designed for high speed precision turning. The lathe features Max. swing over bed θ 515 mm, turning diameter θ 250 mm and turning length 580 mm. Choice of 8, 12 station turret or power turret is also available with this model. FANUC αP22i wide speed range spindle drive provides 11/15KW output and it comes with choice of FANUC or Siemens CNC control.

This machine comes with bar capacity θ74.5mm (max), parts catcher in spindle side with automatic bar feeder for automatic machining and automatic tool presetter, which enables quick tool setting. The machine also features power turret with Y-axis  ±60 mm traverse, equips with facing and eccentric drilling function. It also features double spindle design; main spindle (A2-8) with 10″ hollow chuck to max. speed 4000 rpm. Sub-spindle (A2-6) with 8″ hollow chuck to max. speed 5000 rpm. The machine is said to be ideal for general engineering and automotive industry.

With this tech centre, the company is aiming to tap the growing Indian market and increase its market share. “We have big plans for the Indian market. We will showcase our complete range of machines in this Technology Centre soon. We are also planning to manufacture some of the machine models in India in the coming days.” avers Poddar.
