Expansion of the SUMOCHAM 12XD Drill Line
Following excellent market response and demand, ISCAR is expanding the family of SUMOCHAM DCN 12xD depth to diameter ratio drills by adding 8 to 11.5 mm diameter drills.
The new DCN drills feature cylindrical shanks that enable clamping the drill in hydraulic toolholders (most recommended) or in spring collets. All drill bodies feature helical coolant holes.
The HCP drilling heads enable drilling with 12xD drills without the need for pre-hole preparation. These HCP drilling heads for general use are suitable for ISO P and ISO K material groups.
Note: Prior to using the 12xD drill with inserts other than the HCP insert, it is recommended to drill a pre-hole with a DCN 1.5xD short drill or a centering drill for optimal performance and reliability.
The new 12 L/D ratio drills can be used on clad plates and are commonly used in the Heat Exchanger and other industries.
