CGTech will exhibit its latest version of industry-leading CNC simulation and verification software – VERICUT, at DieMould India 2014 exhibition that will take place at Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC) from April 17-20, 2014. Most importantly, the focus will be more on its powerful module – OptiPath® that is known to be a beneficial technology for die and mould applications.
VERICUT’s OptiPath® is equipped with NC program optimization capabilities to reduce cycle times significantly. Optimized feed rates also result in longer cutting tool life, fewer broken cutting tools and scrapped parts. Additionally, there are better quality parts due to minimized cutter deflection, and a better finish on part surfaces and edges due to constant tool pressure.
“OptiPath® works on an intelligence-based machining system where it learns the exact depth, width and angle of each cut and it knows exactly the amount of material is removed on each cut segment,” said Mr. Saurabh Parasnis, Country Manager for CGTech India. “Based on the amount of material removed in each segment, it automatically assigns the best feed rate for each cutting condition,” he adds. This technology will ideally suit the manufacturing process adopted by most of the die and mould companies. The power of OptiPath’s technology will serve as a solitary solution to some of the common issues encountered in the process of manufacturing dies and moulds – tedious cycle times, large NC programs, cutting at variable depths, excess material removal, premature cutter/wear failure, poor surface finish and cutter deflection problems.
Located at booth #A46, CGTech India will look forward to showcase and demonstrate OptiPath’s technology at DieMould India 2014 which is an ideal platform for the convergence of die and mould manufacturing industry. The exhibition, organized by Tool and Gauge Manufacturers Association (TAGMA), is expected to promote the latest technologies and provide solutions to the manufacturing process.
