The 4th edition of BLECH India 2015, the dedicated exhibition for the sheet metal working industry returns to Mumbai from 22 – 25 April 2015. The event is once again to be held at one of India’s largest exhibition venues, the Bombay Exhibition Centre. BLECH India has made significant progress since its inaugural show. Between 2009 and 2013, exhibitor participation has doubled. In 2009, the first edition of the show, 90 exhibitors took part in BLECH India. For the 2013 show, some 187 exhibitors showcased the latest machinery and solutions for the sheet metal working industry. Due to the increase in exhibitors, the exhibition had grown by more than 300% in floor space, from 855sqm in the 2009 show to more than 4,000sqm in the 2013 event.
Extremely well received by 187 exhibitors from 16 different countries and 5,686 professional visitors alike, the 2013 show received good marks in the exhibitor survey for the overall impression and organisation of the show. The quantity and in particular the expertise of the visitors was highly praised by the exhibiting companies. Results from the 2013 exhibitor survey also showed 91% of exhibitors thought Mumbai is the right location for BLECH India.
The majority of the exhibitors at the 2013 show were Indian companies. Major exhibitor countries from outside of India were Germany, Italy, China and Switzerland. For international exhibitors this dedicated trade exhibition for India’s sheet metal working industry provides an opportunity to gain new contacts and develop their business connections in the thriving Indian market.
India has witnessed significant development over the last few decades with the manufacturing and the automotive sectors growing rapidly. India’s steel consumption grew 3.4 percent to 5.8 million tonnes in April 2014 over the same month a year ago. The growth is set to prolong in the next few years as the Indian government continues to develop its country’s public infrastructure. The continuing demand for consumer goods such as cars, white goods, electronic appliances and electronic equipment from its domestic market is also contributing to the growth of the sheet metal working industry.
BLECH India 2015 is organised by Inter Ads-Brooks, a joint venture between the Indian based Inter Ads Exhibitions and the UK based Mack Brooks Exhibitions. The event encompasses all core sectors of sheet metal working technology such as, sheet metal, finished and semi-finished products, forming, separation and joining technology, machine elements, handling, surface treatment and tools/dies.
BLECH India 2015 with its specialised exhibition profile, targets specific trade visitors from industry sectors including, mechanical engineering, sheet metal products, the automotive industry and its suppliers, iron and steel production, household appliances, steel and aluminium construction, rolling mills as well as shipbuilding and aerospace.
