AMTEX debuts in Mumbai, explores growth opportunities
The Asian Machine Tools Exhibition (AMTEX-2015) is being held at the right time when the ‘Make in India’ initiative is in its full swing. Organised by Reed Triune Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd. (after a recent JV between Reed Exhibitions & Triune Exhibitors Pvt. Ltd.), the event is an ideal platform for Mumbai and its nearby areas to showcase their potential as an industrial hub.
AMTEX made its Mumbai debut on May 29, 2015 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon in the august presence of Minister of State Woman & Child Welfare, Food & Civil Supply, State of Maharashtra, Smt Vidya Jayprakash Thakur. Michael Mandll, CEO, Reed Exhibitions India and Cyril Pereira, Managing Director, Reed Triune Exhibitions Pvt Ltd were also present at the occasion. According to industry experts, events of such caliber will help the industry and will be a grand spectacle of the latest advances in Machine Tools and Manufacturing solutions.
The exhibition has grown exponentially through each of its editions so far and strengthened its position as one of the largest shows of Machine Tools, Machinery and Manufacturing Technologies in the Asian region. This year’s mega trade fair has domestic as well as international exhibitors. Countries like Taiwan and China made their presence felt on the inaugural day.
Various exhibitors opined that AMTEX-2015 is a confluence of exciting business opportunities, world-class technologies and enthusiastic participants from across the globe. The 4-day event is said to be a gateway to the world of opportunities for the exhibitors as the Indian machine tool industry is now ready and all set to expand their reach to the international market.
The exhibition is open to all companies and organisations with products or services related to the segments like lathes & CNCs, machining centres, electric discharge machines (EDM), hydraulic, mechanical & pneumatic presses, shearing and bending machines, metal forming machine tools, drilling and boring machines, milling and grinding machines, gear cutting and finishing machines, welding, cutting & gas cutting machines, hydraulics & pneumatics and material handling equipment among others.
