AITA, The Italian Additive Manufacturing Association – Founded

The Italian machine tool, robot automation and ancillary technology association AITA – Italian Additive Manufacturing Association – was founded recently on 22nd of September 2014. The association whose foundation was largely due to the involvement of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, will carry out scientific, cultural and dissemination work.

In particular, AITA will focus on issues concerning the role of additive manufacturing in production processes relying on the aggregation of materials, starting from metal alloy powders.

A significant number of membership application has already been filled. The association can be joined by manufacturing companies, universities and market players wanted to exchange information of additive manufacturing and explore new developments and business opportunities that this technology has in store for the manufacturing sector.

AITA’s official presentation will take place on the occasion of the congress series “Quality Bridge” organized by 29.BI-MU/SFORTEC during an event named “3D Printing: Applications and Opportunities for Mechanical Engineering”, due to be held in the Scorpio Room of the Milan fair’s Congress Centre on Wednesday, the 1st of October 2014 at 10 am.

AITA was officially founded on 2nd of September 2014, before the notary public. The head of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE and Owner of the Italian company Cesare Galdabini Spa, Luigi Galdabini was appointed as Association President. The board of directors will include the President of Rosa Sistemi Spa Fabrizio Rosa and the CEO of EOS Srl, VITO Chinellato.
