With a booth size of 338 square meters, Haimer GmbH is more present than ever at this year’s EMO 2015 show in Milano (hall 6, booth L08/M03): for Italy and the European market. Its Italian subsidiary HAIMER Italia Srl, located close to Milano in Bernareggio, was founded in 2014 and has already been able to achieve considerable success in sales, is now looking forward to EMO Milano.
Next to some new innovations, the European market leader in the area of tool holding technology will also present its already established and wide-ranged product portfolio, consisting of highly precise tool holders and practical special machines
The visitors will be able to experience all HAIMER shrinking and balancing machines live. This includes the high-end-version Tool Dynamic Automatic, a CNC-based machine for automatic balancing, as well as TD 800, a machine suited for balancing big rotors and grinding wheels. The Cool Flash system will be one of the booth’s highlights, as within the last four years it has attracted more and more customers. Cool Flash can be optionally applied to HAIMER Shrink Fit Chucks and it ensures that even at a high rpm the coolant is transported directly to the cutting edge.
For many years now the HAIMER Safe-Lock™ system, a patented pull out protection for endmills, has proven to be a very successful invention. Due to its growing spread Safe-Lock™ is considered to be the new standard for roughing and heavy machining. Also for new milling strategies such as trochoidal applications, Safe-Lock™ is about to replace the outdated Weldon clamping system. Safe-Lock™ brings together the highest runout accuracy, process reliability and pullout protection. Leading tool manufactures such as Walter Tools, Widia, Sandvik Coromant, Seco Tools, Sumitomo, Kennametal, Helical, Emuge Franken, Data Flute and Niagara have already decided for this system and became license partners. And the numbers are increasing. Not long ago the OSG Group, the Japanese market leader in the area of solid carbide endmills, has started offering their high performance solid carbide endmills together with the HAIMER Safe-Lock™ system.
Another highlight will surely be the final version of Duo-Lock™, a modular interface for solid carbide milling heads. The announcement of the Duo -Lock™ partnership between HAIMER and Kennametal in 2014 and the presentation of this system were followed by elaborate in-house-tests for each diameter and external field trials with customers from different industries. Just like the Safe-Lock™ system, the patented and trademark protected Duo-Lock™ is offered to other tool manufactures via licensing model in order to establish a compatible high performance standard. At the end of this year the Duo Lock™ products will be available on stock.
Furthermore, HAIMER customers can count on new and innovative products in the area of heavy duty machining. A new Heavy Duty Collet Chuck is going to celebrate its world premiere and at the same time, the new HAIMER solid carbide tool portfolio is going to be extended by a number of geometries and designs. In order to provide an Italian flair at EMO Milano, HAIMER is going to machine aluminum Espresso cups on DMG MORI HSC 30 – of course with the use of HAIMER Power Mill tools and HAIMER shrink fit holders.
