New agreement enables Makino to support aircraft engine OEMs with greater proficiency and accuracy in process engineering.
Makino uses Siemens PLM Software technology to enhance its process and turnkey engineering services to the aircraft engine market. This means that Makino can now offer its current and future customers, the same technology that companies around the world depend on every day to enhance product development decision making and produce better products.
Siemens PLM Software is a leading global provider of PLM software and services. As part of the partnership, Makino is able to augment its current offerings with Siemens PLM Software’s NX™ software, a leading integrated solution for computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering (CAD/CAM/CAE). “Makino is excited to join Siemens PLM Software’s partner community,” said Billy Grobe, manager of Makino’s Aerospace Engine Technology Group. “The strength of our two organizations working together will deliver significant value to our customers.”
The adoption of NX enables Makino engineers to more clearly and seamlessly view and work with part designs in customers’ native format. This is of particular benefit within the aircraft jet engine market, where the use of NX is prolific. Makino’s partnership with Siemens PLM Software demonstrates a dedication to supporting aircraft engine OEMs, and adds an extra degree of confidence to the company’s process engineering services.
“Siemens PLM Software is committed to creating partnerships to help enhance the end-user experience of our customers. We are pleased to work with Makino to provide open, integrated solutions that improve the productivity of our mutual customers,” said Vynce Paradise, senior director, NX CAM, Siemens PLM Software.
