Nimble Machine is showcasing its awarded 6-axis CNC Gear Hobbing Machine at IMTEX

Bangalore-based Nimble Machine, a division of UCAM Pvt Ltd., is demonstrating its revolutionary Noah series – 6 axis CNC Gear Hobbing Machine at on going IMTEX 2017, in Bengaluru. Launched during the IMTEX 2015, the machine has received good response from the industry. UCAM specializes into manufacturing of precision CNC Rotary Tables, Index Tables and Pallet Changing Solutions for Machine Tool applications.

Machine Configuration:
There are three linear axes with precision pre-loaded Ball screws & Servomotor driven supported on generously dimensioned precision Roller guide ways – Radial (X) feed, Axial (Z) feed & Tangential (Y) feed. It has three rotary axes – Hob swivel, Work spindle & Hob drive.

Machine Structures:
The base is a massively structured casting adequately ribbed for extreme rigidity. The column moves on Precision Roller guide ways mounted on Bed and also houses the Radial & Axial feed drives Rigid column with Tail stock support provided additionally with Tail stock parking position for ease of heavy component loading.

Hob Spindle & Swivel Arrangement:
The Hardened and Precision ground spindle runs to an accuracy of less than 2 microns run out on diameters and face. The built-in Direct Drive Motor is driven with a high power for cutting at higher cutting speeds. Also, the Servomotor driven tilt axis enables quick and wide range of angle setting.

Work Drive & Support System:
The Direct Drive Torque Motor imparts very high torque thereby having lower vibrations during cutting and maintenance free. The Auxiliary Tail stock column acts as a support provided for work holding and hence avoid slenderness during cutting, and giving an improved cutting performance.

CNC System
The Powerful and High precision Electronic Gearing feature replaces conventional Index and differential change gears. Its digital drive technology offers enhanced response and control.
